Are you looking to get outside and enjoy our beautiful California weather? In this episode of Time Out Santa Clarita, I’m going to take you on a tour of 3 local parks that you’ve got to check out. We’ll check out everything from picnic areas to dog parks to give you an idea of what each area has to offer.

Pacific Crest Park

Pacific Crest  Park is right next door to Mountain View Elementary School. One of my favorite things about this park is the view, while parents of young kids love its incredible playground area. I've had many clients tell me that their kids love this playground area so much that they’ll drive from other neighborhoods just to come here.

Pacific Crest Park has a path that goes all the way around the park. You'll see kids out there roller skating, skateboarding, and just having a good time while others walk their dogs and enjoy a stroll. In addition, there’s a huge grassy area where people can kick the soccer ball around, play frisbee with their pooch, or just relax.

Todd Longshore Park

The next outdoor area you need to check out is Todd Longshore Park, located at the top of Whites Canyon just before it turns into Plum Canyon. Nestled right there in a little community, it has gorgeous views and is usually low-key and quiet. Host a party at one of the many covered picnic table areas or sit and enjoy some quiet time for yourself. This green space also has playgrounds and grassy areas.

Central Park

In addition to a  lovely dog park, Central Park offers beautiful hiking and amazing views. Take advantage of the many basketball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, and frisbee golf opportunities in this relaxing outdoor setting. Additionally, there’s a covered outdoor workout area with equipment that only requires your body weight. It's a really cool feature you’ll want to check out.

Central Park is also home to Concerts In The Park, an event held every year. While I'm sure most of you have been to Central Park, come by if you haven’t and enjoy a walk to look at all the amenities.
