Winter has officially arrived and that means that those scorching hot places in the summer now make the perfect getaway! One of my all time favorite places to travel to year round is Lake Havasu City in Arizona. It’s only about a four and a half hour drive from Santa Clarita. There is so much to do there for anyone of all ages and right now is a great time to go!

To start the morning, we head over to Nautical Inn at the Turtle Beach Bar to meet up with our friends and grab some breakfast. This spot is right on the water so not only are you enjoying a great meal, but you’re doing so in front of an even better view. There is also a heated infinity pool overlooking the water that’s even open to non hotel guests over twenty one!

After we’ve filled up it's time to jump into some activities. One thing we enjoy doing is side by siding and exploring all that the area has to offer. The views are stunning everywhere you look which makes for some great riding

Another family favorite is heading over to Sara’s Park. This area is jam packed with loads of things to do, but our personal favorite is hiking. For you experienced hikers, take the challenge of hiking up to table top. You can see all the way from the island almost to Havasu Springs. For those looking for a little less steep of a hike, you have the option to hike down to the water for a scenic and more relaxing form of exercise. The area is scenic and filled with your typical park amenities like sporting fields, but it also has unique offerings such as the rodeo, BMX track, airfield to fly remote control planes, and a speedway.

Lake Havasu is a place for families, friends, or couples to enjoy the great outdoors in style. With great food, fun entertainment, and even better company, you’re always promised a memorable time.
